Happy Mother's Day!

Mother's Day is just around the corner, and at House of Hope, we believe that every mother deserves to be celebrated and honored. Thanks to your generosity, House of Hope provides a safe and supportive place for young mothers and children experiencing homelessness to build successful, sustainable lives for themselves and their children.

This Mother's Day, we are asking for your help to continue our important work. Your support is not just a financial contribution, it is a lifeline to the young people and families we serve. Your gift helps us create a sense of hope and possibility, inspiring young people to pursue their dreams and build a brighter future for themselves.

Thank you for considering a donation to House of Hope this Mother's Day. Together, we can make a positive impact in the lives of those who need it most.

Jaleesa is one young mother who found a renewed sense of hope and a path to a better future at House of Hope.

"House of Hope was pretty much the light at the end of the tunnel. I never had that type of support in my life, and I just absorbed it. It’s just such a great feeling knowing that these people have this faith in you in one of your scariest times in life." (Watch her story)

NEW Dancing with Our Stars

A popular ballroom dancing event is returning to the Green Bay area with a new twist. “NEW Dancing with Our Stars” (aka NEW DWOS) kicked off its inaugural campaign April 19th. Eight participants, each supporting a different local non-profit organization, were introduced at a news conference. Those participants will spend the next several months fundraising for their chosen charities as well as learning one ballroom dance which they will perform at a spectacular showcase Saturday, October 7, 2023, at EPIC Event Center in Ashwaubenon.

We are honored to have Board Member Jenny Vander Zanden dancing for House of Hope! Please click here to support Jenny!

A message from Jenny:

The first time I stepped inside the shelter was pretty amazing. I was completely blown away by the welcoming energy of the staff. House of Hope serves the most vulnerable youth experiencing homelessness who have already experienced tremendous challenges in their lives. I was surprised by the amount of youth that experience homelessness each year right here in Brown County. House of Hope is an organization that is thinking about the long term for the people and setting them up for achieving their goals. They provide more than just emergency shelter, they support them in creating goals, access to basic needs, case management and so many services to gain independence.

I am excited to be a part of Dancing with Our Stars. I hope to bring a message that each of us has unique talents to share whether it is as simple as dropping off some items of high need that you no longer need, donating basic necessities, helping with some outdoor yard work, organizing donations at the shelter or a monetary donation.

Diaper Green Bay: June 19 - July 15

The annual Diaper Green Bay diaper drive, in collaboration with Green Bay Doulas, has raised more than 280,000 diapers to support families in need since its inception in 2018. This community-wide event raises awareness about family and childhood homelessness and the many families in need of clean, dry diapers throughout the greater Green Bay area.

Are you interested in sponsoring Diaper Green Bay? Would you like to host a diaper drop-off site at your business or organization? To participate in the 6th annual diaper drive, June 19 to July 15, please contact Liz at 920-215-4574 or LizK@houseofhopegb.org.

Are you handy? A DIYer? Or just willing to get your hands dirty once in a while? Consider joining the House of Hope Facilities Crew!

The Facilities Crew gathers on the 3rd Tuesday of each month from 7:00-9:00pm. Members need not be DIY experts (though that's great), but rather have a willingness to serve as needed, often working on tasks such as cleaning walls, moving furniture, painting, and replacing light bulbs.

To learn more or join the crew, please contact Mark Dunning at mark@northcoastpro.com.

Golfing for Hope is a family-friendly, collaborative mini-golf event to raise awareness about area nonprofits and build community. Nonprofit organizations and local businesses partner to create mini-golf holes in downtown Green Bay’s Broadway District. Players can golf the course for free, all while visiting local businesses and learning about area nonprofits! If your organization is interested in participating, please contact LizK@houseofhopegb.org.

Touchdowns for Hope is House of Hope’s annual fundraising gala. The evening features exclusive auction items, quality entertainment, and a close-out-the-night dance party. Each year, the gala is attended by current and former Green Bay Packers and is hosted by a player and their spouse. We are excited to welcome back Packers running back AJ Dillon and his wife Gabrielle as our hosts this year!
